My Keepon

Keepon Pro is already a much-loved Internet phenomenon thanks to YouTube and Facebook fans, and was named one of the top 10 robots of all time. Now My Keepon, a toy version of the research robot and music video star, has been released by Wow! Stuff, the company who brought us Dave the Funky Shoulder Monkey, one of 2010’s top selling toys.

And Wolverhampton-based Wow! Stuff has worked closely with scientists at BeatBots, the creators of Keepon Pro, originally designed to help therapist improve the social development of autistic children. A little yellow robot with a big personality, My Keepon has two modes, chosen through buttons on his ‘stage’.

Put him in Dance mode and watch him dance in time to clapping or your music. A built-in mic and state-of-the-art beat detection give My Keepon has an uncanny sense of timing and very fluid movement.

In Touch mode, My Keepon reacts to sensors underneath his skin. Poke, tap, squeeze or tickle! The robot’s mood also changes in response to your touch, shifting from curious to excited to sleepy and just about everything else in between!

With My Keepon’s impossibly cute movements, you will love getting to know this endearing little character, and making him your new best friend.

Brand new for 2011, and showcased at this year’s European Toy Fair in Nuremberg, My Keepon is expected to be one of Christmas 2011’s hottest and fastest selling toys, poised to sell in similar quantities as Dave the monkey toy.

My Keepon is priced at between £30 and £35. He will have children of all ages, from four upwards, completely mesmerised.
