Smokey The Fire Truck

Rocky the Robot and Stinky the Garbage trucks from Matchbox have both flown off the shelves in the last couple of years. Now Smokey the Fire Truck, the company’s latest big rig toy, is pipped to be every bit as successful as his predecessors.

Like Stinky and Rocky, Smokey is a fully interactive toy. This fire engine with a heart of gold comes complete with LED lights and motion sensors, and he loves nothing more than entertaining and being the centre of attention. Brace yourself for some truly corny jokes among his repertoire of more than 90 funny phrases, and some slick dance moves! Oh, and he sings as well …

Smokey the Fire Truck comes fully equipped to tackle blazes with a huge cannon and massive wheels. Your young fire-fighter can load him up with tiny pellets which are shot out of the cannon instead of water. Smokey will even let you know when supplies are starting to run low.

Of course, Smokey also functions as a freewheeling fire engine for pushing around, stimulating young imaginations and stimulating creative role play. This toy also encourages joint play, sharing and friendship building.

Aimed at young firemen aged three years or old, Smokey The Fire Truck needs four non-standard batteries, C LRI4 alkaline ones, which come included. This toy is priced at around £60-£65.

Released just this autumn, Smokey The Fire Truck is bound to be a Christmas 2011 winner of a toy. Grab yours now – or you could have a genuine emergency on your hands!

Believe it or not, another common reason parents cite for buying tons of toys is because they feel they ought to. Peer pressure induced by visits to other children’s homes often sends mothers running to the store for more junk.
